The software is built using the meson build system. It is similar to Cmake but better. There are several ways to get meson on your system: Installing Meson Guide Prepare to Build Element uses meson subprojects. Initialize them to avoid errors later. Make sure to run the update command every time new code is pulled. Dependencies On Mac and Windows, most dependencies are pulled in by Meson. You’ll need to manually install boost headers and other SDKs.

Process The installation and update system in Element is fairly standard. Welcome Pretty straight forward… Components Here is the component selection. Check the plugins and other extras you wish to install. The items listed might be different depending on what platform you are using. License Next is the license notice. If you agree, click Continue. Finish up After accepting the license the install will begin! Updates Updating is similar to installing and is configured inside Element -> Preferences -> Updates Launch button - Quits Element and launches the update utility.
